Brooks Rehabilitation Refresh and Expansion
The Brooks Rehabilitation 10-Bed Refresh and Expansion Project in Jacksonville, FL, presented a unique challenge: renovate and expand a critical healthcare facility while maintaining uninterrupted patient care. We rose to the occasion, implementing innovative methods in scheduling, quality control, and value engineering to deliver a project that not only met but exceeded expectations. Our expertise extended to a wide array of electrical scopes within the Brooks Rehabilitation project:
Electrical: Complete electrical distribution system upgrades and installations to support the expanded facility.
Fire Alarm: Installation and integration of a state-of-the-art fire alarm system to ensure patient and staff safety.
Low Voltage Systems: Design and implementation of structured cabling, nurse call systems, and other essential low voltage infrastructure.
Access Control: Installation of advanced access control systems to secure sensitive areas and protect patient data.
Panel Relocation: Strategic relocation of electrical panels to accommodate the new layout and ensure optimal functionality.
WW Gay Headquarters
As a longstanding friend and partner of W.W. Gay, we were honored to be able to collaborate with them on this project by providing electrical solutions, as well as design-assist, network, security, access control, and audio/visual. Our relationship with W.W. Gay is decades-long and we couldn’t be more proud to have been a part of this journey with our dear friends. For this particular project, effective coordination with our vendor partners was essential. We meticulously planned and communicated to ensure that all required materials were available on-site precisely when needed. This strategy wasn’t just about logistics; it was about maintaining the workflow’s integrity and ensuring the project progressed without interruptions.
Miller Electric Center for Performance for the Jacksonville Jaguars
The Miller Electric Center (MEC) stands as a beacon of innovation, collaboration, and community pride in downtown Jacksonville. This $120 million, 125,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility is more than just a new practice home for the Jacksonville Jaguars; it’s a symbol of what’s possible when local businesses come together to invest in their city’s future. As both the namesake sponsor and the lead electrical contractor, we are proud to have played an integral role in bringing this “Stadium of the Future” to life. The scopes included on this project were:
Electrical Infrastructure: Designing and installing a comprehensive electrical system, including fire alarm, life safety DAS, and low voltage raceways. This robust infrastructure ensures the facility’s smooth operation and safety.
Audio-Visual Excellence: Equipping the facility with cutting-edge audio-visual technology, including broadcast cabling, scoreboards, play clocks, and a master clock system. This enhances the fan experience and provides the Jaguars with advanced training tools.
State-of-the-Art Security: Implementing a comprehensive security system featuring access control, security cameras, and NFL-mandated player tracking systems. This ensures the safety of players, staff, and visitors while providing valuable data for coaching and performance analysis.
Specialized Systems: Designing and installing unique systems, such as the weightroom pneumatic system and relocating existing utility infrastructure. This demonstrates Miller Electric’s ability to tackle complex challenges and tailor solutions to meet specific needs.
